The date for submission of Nomination form is March 31, 2024.

The Nigerian Mathematical Society (NMS) Council may confer the grade of a Fellow of the Nigerian Mathematical Society (FNMS) on a member who
a) is distinguished in his/her area(s) of research (as evidenced by outstanding contributions in some branches of Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science),
b) renders or has rendered services that promote the aim and objectives of the Society,
c) fosters the development and application of Mathematics in the Nigerian society. The main goals of the award are to
a) boost the morale of mathematicians of Nigerian origin and entrench excellence in the profession,
b) support the attainment of leadership positions by mathematicians in their institutions and society in general. This document describes the processes of nomination and selection of candidates for the award of FNMS. d) Whoever nominates a member for the award of fellowship has to be duly registered and should have a Permanent Membership Number (PMN) and proof of payment of membership dues of the past three consecutive membership years.
