The 40th Annual Conference of the Nigerian Mathematical Society will be held at Usman Dan Fodio University, Sokoto. June 19-23, 2023.

The Council wishes to announce that the following members of the Society have been elected as Fellows of the Nigerian Mathematical Society (FNMS):

Final call for the special issue of the Journal of Nigerian Mathematical Society (JNMS)

We are glad to inform you formally that the NMS Council had met and graciously approved that the 39th Annual Conference of the Society should now be held remotely/virtually via the ZOOM platform. The new date for the Conference is now between 20th to 24th of April, 2021. The opening ceremony will be coming up on Thursday, 22nd of April, 2021 by 10.00 am prompt, Nigeria time.

The International Mathematical Union (IMU), in collaboration with TWAS, The World Academy of Sciences, is opening a new call of the IMU Breakout Graduate Fellowship program to support postgraduate studies, in a developing country, leading to a PhD degree in the mathematical sciences.

This is to request for the submission of completed and defended Ph.D thesis during the 2017/2018 session for consideration for the award of NMS best Ph.D. thesis.
